Rennie Bugley
CAO (Chief Administrative Officer)

The CAO is accountable to the council for the proper administration of the affairs of the Municipality in accordance with the by-laws of the Municipality and the policies adopted by the council.

Shelley Hoeg
Executive Assistant to the CAO

Shelley has the primary responsibility of providing executive support to the CAO and council.

Brenda Moore
Municipal Clerk/Records Manager

Brenda administers the records management program of the Municipality. Her position maintains records and databases for leases, contracts, agreements, and easements along with maintaining manual and electronic copies of Council policies and by-laws. As the freedom of information and protection of privacy (FOIPOP) coordinator, Brenda is also responsible for ensuring that municipal documents are made available to the public, barring unreasonable invasions of personal privacy.

Emily Fowler Human Resources and Community Relations
Emily has overall responsibility for all aspects of human resources administration for the Municipality and, in addition, provides community relations leadership and support to council and staff.

Finance & Administration Department

Andrew MacDonald
Director of Finance & Administration

Andrew has primary responsibility of overall administration of the finances of the Municipality, including financial operations and controls, systems, records, reporting and analysis. He oversees overall operation of the finance and administration department.

Kellie Seaman
Accounts Payable/Finance Administrative Assistant

Kellie provides administrative support for the finance department, human resources & community relations and for IT. Responsibilities of her position include accounts payable, accounts receivable, office procurement, and administering the grants to non-profit organizations program.

Melanie Prendergast
Receptionist/Cashier

Melanie is responsible for receiving and processing tax payments, and answers any general inquiries the public may have at the municipal office front counter. Derek Chitty
Accountant

Derek is responsible for the accuracy, reliability and dependability of the Municipality’s financial records, processes, and internal controls.

Erika Kromm
Revenue Officer

Erika runs the annual tax levy, answers question regarding taxation, and also monitors the revenue stream from taxes collected and those outstanding. She is also responsible for coordinating the various steps in the tax sale process, which the county hosts whenever there are a number of outstanding accounts. John Hardie
IT Administrator

John is responsible for computer software and hardware support, programming, and budgeting and purchasing. He also manages network infrastructure, email, and works with records management and the financial database.

Planning & Development, and Fire Protection Services Department

Penny Henneberry
Director of Planning& Development

Penny is responsible for the overall operation of the planning & development department, providing professional planning advice to council and staff. She advises council on the preparation and review of planning documents, as well as any applications for development agreements or amendments to the municipal planning strategies or land use by-laws. She is also responsible for the heritage property by-law, and for municipal heritage property registration.

Melissa Siddall
Administrative Assistant

Melissa is the first contact for most inquiries in the planning and development department. She provides administrative assistance to all staff within the department, answers general planning, development and building inquiries, and assists the public with application forms for building, demolition and development permits and subdivision approval. Melissa schedules all building inspections.

Mike Carter

Fire Protection Services Coordinator
The Fire Protection Services Coordinator has the primary responsibility of preparing analysis and recommendations relative to fire protection services and coordinating the implementation of approved initiatives. The coordinator works in cooperation and consultation with the Cumberland County Fire Fighters Association.

Thomas Trenholm
Senior Building Official, Assistant Development Officer

Thomas provides building inspection services within the Municipality and is responsible for administering the municipal building by-law, issuing building permits, answering inquiries on building permits and providing interpretation of the by-laws and building matters in general. As Assistant Development Officer, Thomas is also responsible for issuing development permits within the Municipality.

David Buell

Building Official
The Building Official provides building inspection services within the Municipality and are responsible for administering the municipal building by-law, issuing building permits, answering inquiries on building permits, and providing interpretation of the by-laws and building matters in general. 

Monty Maddison
Building Official, Assistant Development Officer

Monty provides building inspection services within the Municipality, and are responsible for administering the municipal building by-law, issuing building permits, answering inquiries on building permits and providing interpretation of the by-laws and building matters in general. As assistant development officer, Monty is also responsible for issuing development permits for the Municipality.

Nelson Bezanson
Planning and Development Officer

Nelson assists with planning research, and implementation and amendments to planning by-laws and policies. He is responsible for administering the land use by-law and subdivision by-law, preparing development agreements, issuing development permits, answering inquiries on zoning or land use, and provides interpretation of the by-laws and planning matters in general.

Maggie Pitts
GIS Analyst & Civic Addressing Coordinator

Maggie is responsible for all geomatics duties including multimedia map creation, and GIS (geographic information systems) data compilation, maintenance, and analysis. She is also responsible for civic addressing, GPS, private road naming, municipal signage programs, streetlights, graphics, website coordination, technical support, reporting, documentation, and other matters.

Steve Ferguson
Director of Policy and Research

Steve has general responsibilities (oversight) with regard to the activities of the department – by-law enforcement, solid waste, canine control, dangerous and unsightly premises, recreation, and emergency Measures; and specific responsibilities to lead and co-ordinated by-law and policy development and strategic planning processes.

Vicki Weaver
Recreation and Physical Activities Coordinator

Vicki is responsible for the recreation grant program as well as providing the Cumberland county recreation newsletter to county residents and organizations. She identifies, researches, plans, implements, evaluates and documents sustainable health living and recreational opportunities for residents. Vicki also develops networks and forms/maintains partnerships with other government levels, municipalities, agencies and non-governmental organizations to fund, promote and provide healthy living and recreational opportunities.
