Public Works

The Public Works Department's primary areas of responsibility include:

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of municipally owned centralized wastewater collection systems
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of municipally owned wastewater treatment systems
  • Operation and maintenance of a centralized septage receiving and dewatering system located at the Little Forks Landfill site
  • Capital construction projects
  • Building maintenance

This Department consists of seven full and part-time staff comprising the following technical skill sets:

  • wastewater collection system operators level 1 and 2
  • wastewater treatment plant operators level 1 and 2
  • water distribution system operators level 1 and 2
  • pump installers level 1 and 2
  • electrician
  • mechanic
  • clerical
  • management
