Tender (TS-PT111)Land To Be Sold For TaxesJanuary 27, 2012 Notice is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, Part 6, that the Municipality of Cumberland is inviting Tenders for the following properties situated in the Municipality of the County of Cumberland. Tenders shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the undersigned and shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope “TENDER (TS-PT111): LAND TO BE SOLD FOR TAXES”. The tender shall state the account number, amount of bid, name and address of the bidder and a telephone number where the bidder can be contacted. Tenders will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Tenders submitted by facsimile will not be accepted. There will be a Public Tender opening at the Municipal Building immediately after tender closing. Tenders may be delivered to: The Municipality of Cumberland Terms: No minimum bids have been set. The accepted tender prices must be paid within three business days after being notified of acceptance. In addition to the bid, the bidder must pay $400 to cover preparation and registration of the certificate of sale and tax deed. The Municipality will accept cash, money order, debit, certified cheque or a lawyer’s trust cheque. Although the Municipality has made all reasonable efforts to confirm ownership, it does not guarantee title or boundaries of the aforementioned property.
