Heritage Committee

The Heritage Property Committee is composed of four members, all of whom must be residents of the Municipality, appointed by Council for a term of three years, two of whom shall be members of Council. The Heritage Advisory Committee advises the Municipality respecting:

• the inclusion of buildings, streetscapes and areas in the Registry of Heritage Property;
• an application for permission to alter substantially or demolish a Municipal Heritage Property;
• building or other regulations that effect the attainment of the intent and purpose of the Heritage Property Act;
• any other matters conducive to the effect of carrying out the intent and purpose of the Heritage Property Act.
